Earth Day 2014

I'm kind of upset that some clown was allowed to shove Arbor Day aside for Earth Day. At least I think that's what happened. Anywho, here's a pic of today's lunch note featuring Earth Day with a Star Wars twist. I may have to draw Vader and Boba Fett riding bikes one of these days.

Draw the environment before adding the character. If you're modeling for a drawing class, the Angry Hulk pose and Tebowing are crowd pleasers. Avast, You Scurvy Rats! It's The Next Big Thing Blog Tour!

The Next Big Thing blog tour started in Australia, but it's sturdy sails soon caught a mighty wind (ewww...), sending it on a tour of the seven seas. The object of the tour is to bring awareness to authors & illustrators and their current work. A treasure chest filled with thank ye's goes to the very talented Wendy Martin for tagging me. Podcasts! Because You Can Only Listen To So Much Pearl Jam on Spotify

... or Wilson Phillips. Whatever floats your boat, right? Audio podcasts are a great way to keep yourself entertained and hopefully learn a thing or two or more about the topic(s) they're addressing. I listen to around a dozen every week and mix the genres up depending on my mood or what's going on in my work or leisure life. Design conference coming up? Listen to a Debbie Millman podcast. She's probably interviewed at least one of the featured speakers. Fantasy football draft next week? Feed your brain with some ESPN Fantasy Focus. Need to turn that frown upside down? Have a drink! Or better yet, laugh along with the thoughtfully filthy humor of Bill Burr. There's plenty out there for everyone, every taste and every mood.
