The March Has Ended

It's sooooooo close to being April and I've been working on quite a few projects for a couple of upcoming conferences:

The NESCBWI Conference runs from April 20-22 in Springfield, MA. Can't wait to hang out with my illustrator/author pals, shake hands with children's book editors and art directors, and learn Learn LEARN from the amazing panel of speakers as well as the hands-on workshops. Feverishly working on improving my picture book – "Pirates Go Shopping", creating new portfolio pieces and refreshing the look of my web site. OMG! Did you even notice?!?! :)

I'll also be attending the ICON7 Illustration Conference in Providence, RI June 15-16. This one also has an amazing panel of speakers including two of my favs: Bob Staake and Dan Santat. It's a pretty safe bet I'm going to learn Learn LEARN at this one too.

Very excited for the start of baseball season. Play ball, people!

I was psyched when my friend Diandra Mae asked me to be a guest blogger at The Sketchables for a few weeks this past month. Here's my color sketch for the topic: Spring Ahead!
